First, I taught my children the independence of thinking for themselves.
Second, I allow them to make their own mistakes.
The like-aged elder shrugged her shoulders over the incident, and the younger said with disdain, "Who's that?"
Their lives have more important things to consider than the antics of a rebellious brat.
